Workshop on media self-education for liberation (Gaston Roberge, 10-15 April 2008)

 

Six days:

Afternoon: 2 hours (4-6 pm);

Evening: feature film (6-8 pm)

 

The workshop is based on a new book by G. Roberge, Media Dancer, Who Sets the Tune? This book is available on the Web, and a password will be given to the participants to access the site if they so wish.

Each day, the afternoon session deals with a module (from Media Dancer) and has the following parts:

 

1.      introduction to the module

2.      Readings from Cyberbani (with references to both the English and Bengali editions).

3.      fragment (additional material)

4.      homework (optional; may have been done the previous morning)

5.      group discussion (exercises)

6.      review (questionnaire)

Of the six parts mentioned above, the most important will be the group discussion.
